Conference on Countermeasures to Combat Infectious Diseases in Asia

The “Asian Infectious Disease Project” was adopted at the fourth conference of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 in Jakarta in November 2004 (see Appendix 1 for details). In a move to materialize the project, Tokyo hosted a Conference on the Asian Infectious Disease Project.
Infectious disease experts from six major Asian cities visited Japan for the conference to give presentations and exchange opinions on present conditions surrounding infectious diseases and related countermeasures in these cities.
